Much like their senior peers, Ireland's Under-20 stars wrapped up their Six Nations campaign with victory over Scotland, a Triple Crown, and a sense of accomplishment in the manner they ultimately responded to a drubbing by France in their opener.
Les Bleus outclassed Andrew Browne's charges 50-21 in Perpignan in early February en route to a Grand Slam, one that was confirmed on Sunday night with a deja vu-esque victory over England.
However, wins over all four of their subsequent opponents ensured Ireland finished second in the standings.
Following their 47-14 win over Scotland, out-half Tom Wood – son of former Ireland captain Keith – told RTÉ Sport: "I thought we showed great grit and determination to put a big score on them, and they are a good side, so we are pretty happy.
"We didn't have the greatest start but we always believed in what we had.
"We got unlucky and France were much better on the day, but I think the way we've built since that game is just incredible and we really got behind each other.
"We knew we could do better and I'm really happy how we went on."

Captain Sami Bishti added: "It's absolutely incredible. It's so cool.
"Especially for the senior team to do it yesterday – and we're obviously truly inspired by them – and then for us to come out and do it is a credit to all the hard work we've put in throughout the tournament."
