Lyon's OL Stadium will host the Champions Cup and Challenge Cup finals in 2027, European Professional Club Rugby (EPCR) has announced, with the tournament returning to an October start.
The earlier start to the competition is the only change with the 24-team Champions Cup format remaining the same.
The 'Finals Weekend' will take place on Friday 21 and Saturday 22 May in the French city, which last held the decider in 2016 when Saracens beat Racing 92.
The OL Stadium has a capacity of 59,186.
The pool draws will take place on 1 July, setting the scene for the pool stages that will get under way on Friday 16 October.
Round two will remain in its usual December window.
"The 2026/27 season, starting once again in October as our competitions did pre-Covid, will build to a wonderful finale in Lyon's superb OL Stadium, where we will return after a successful Finals weekend in 2016," EPCR CEO Jacques Raynaud said.
"We are delighted to be returning to this venue, which has already staged EPCR Finals, Rugby World Cup and Six Nations matches.
"We are also excited to see the opening round of those pool stages return to the pre-Covid October slot, a recommendation put forward by EPCR and unanimously agreed by the three Leagues, with EPCR competitions part of the club rugby dynamic from the start of the season in a move that is welcomed by fans and commercial partners alike."
This season's finals will take place in the Basque city of Bilbao where Leinster won the last of their four titles in 2018.
