Munster scrum-half Craig Casey has agreed a new contract to keep him at the province until 2028.

The 26-year-old has signed a two-year deal with his home province.

Casey has played 104 times for Munster since making his debut against Connacht in 2019, scoring 22 tries.

The Shannon clubman has been first choice at Munster since the 2023/24 season, overtaking Conor Murray as the province's number nine, while he also captained Munster for the first time in the opening game of this season, away to Scarlets.

In the last year Casey has also established himself as a regular in Ireland’s matchday squads, and has won 24 caps since his debut against Italy in 2021.

He also captained Ireland on their summer tour of Georgia and Portugal in 2025, and featured in every game of Ireland’s Quilter Nations Series, starting the 41-10 win against Japan.
