Rieko Ioane will feature off the bench for Leinster, with the New Zealand international in line for his debut in Saturday's Champions Cup Pool 3 opener against Harlequins.
The versatile 88-cap All Black linked up with the province this week as he takes a sabbatical from Super Rugby until the summer, in a move similar to Jordie Barrett last season.
Leo Cullen has recalled several of his frontline Ireland internationals for the opening European game of the year, although Andrew Porter, James Lowe and Robbie Henshaw aren't involved.
There is a welcome return for Joe McCarthy (below) at lock. The 24-year-old, who hasn't played since suffering a foot injury in the opening British and Irish Lions Test against Australia in the summer, joins RG Snyman in a powerful second row combination.

The younger McCarthy brother – Paddy – starts at loosehead prop in place of Porter, and is joined in the front row by Dan Sheehan and Thomas Clarkson.
Caelan Doris captains the side at number 8, and makes his first appearance for the province since suffering a shoulder injury in May.
Jack Conan starts on the blindside flank with Ryan Baird injured, while Josh van der Flier is at his usual openside post.
Jamison Gibson-Park and Sam Prendergast are named at scrum-half and out-half respectively, while Ciarán Frawley is given a start at inside centre, with Garry Ringrose in the 13 jersey.
With Hugo Keenan and Jamie Osborne both injured, Jimmy O’Brien is named at full-back, with Tommy O’Brien and Jordan Larmour on the wings.
On the bench, Leo Cullen can call on an all-Irish international front row of Rónan Kelleher, Jack Boyle and Tadhg Furlong, while Diarmuid Mangan and Max Deegan are the other forward replacements.
Luke McGrath and Harry Byrne will cover the half-backs, with debutant Ioane the outside-back replacement.
