Rieko Ioane is on track to make his Leinster debut in Saturday evening's Investec Champions Cup clash against Harlequins at Aviva Stadium.

The All Black arrived at the province last Wednesday to begin a six-month loan spell from Super Rugby outfit the Blues.

Leinster said he's expected to take a full part in training and is available for selection.

Ioane will hope to make the sort of impact his fellow New Zealander Jordie Barrett did last season when he moved from Hurricanes to join Leinster for the second half of the campaign season.

He'll be keen to win over the Leinster fans as quickly as possible given his history with Johnny Sexton. After New Zealand's win against Ireland in the quarter-finals of 2023 World Cup, he told Sexton "to enjoy retirement and to not miss his flight home".

Leo Cullen is also boosted by the availability of Joe McCarthy who has recovered from a foot injury, while Tommy O'Brien has come through the graduated return to play protocols.

However the head coach faces an anxious wait to see if Andrew Porter (arm), James Lowe (calf) and Robbie Henshaw (hamstring) will make it. Decisions on their involvement will be made later in the week.

Cormac Foley, Hugo Keenan, Will Connors, James Culhane, Jamie Osborne and Ryan Baird are all out.
