Ireland have made 10 changes to their starting XV for Saturday's World Cup warm-up against Canada in Belfast.

Head coach Scott Bemand has decided to ring the changes after last weekend’s 27-21 victory over Scotland with back rows Grace Moore, Ivana Kiripati and Brittany Hogan three of the five retained.

In addition, out-half Dannah O’Brien and wing Béibhinn Parsons keep their spots against a Canada outfit ranked second in the world.

Hooker Neve Jones will captain the side with Sam Monaghan, who starts this week on the bench for the midday kick-off at the Affidea Stadium in Ravenhill.

In the pack, Niamh O’Dowd and Linda Djougang join Jones in the front row.

Fiona Tuite and Ruth Campbell make up the second row.

Aoibheann Reilly starts at scrum-half inside O’Brien.

Enya Breen partners Aoife Dalton in the centre with Anna McGann and Parsons on the wings.

Former England front front row forward Ellena Perry (above) of Gloucester is in line for her debut off the bench. The prop won 11 England caps before switching allegiance.

Clíodhna Moloney-MacDonald, Ellena Perry, Sadhbh McGrath, Eimear Corri-Fallon, Monaghan and Claire Boles are the forward replacements, with backs Emily Lane and Eve Higgins completing Ireland’s 23.

Bemand said: "Having another opportunity to test ourselves is essential in the run up to the Rugby World Cup and we know Canada will provide us with a really strong test.

"Last week we fought back hard from conceding early tries and we know we will need to start stronger this week.

"There is a lot at stake with the squad for the Rugby World Cup being announced early next week."

Ireland will name their 32-player squad for the World Cup on Monday.
