Munster's Alex Nankivell is free to play against Bordeaux in this Saturday's Champions Cup quarter-final after a successful appeal against his red card in their win over Connacht at MacHale Park.
Nankivell was shown a red card by referee Craig Evans 25 minutes into Munster's 30-24 Interpro win after making head contact with Connacht captain Cian Prendergast at a ruck.
Prendergast appeared to lose consciousness in the incident and was taken to Mayo University Hospital before being discharged a day later.
The centre was originally hit with a two-match ban and missed Munster's dramatic last-16 victory over La Rochelle last Saturday but the club this weekend exercised their right to appeal the decision in the hope of making him available for the trip to Bordeaux.
After meeting yesterday, the Appeal Panel ruled in Nankivell's favour meaning he eligible for selection for the quarter-final in Stade Chaban Delmas.
It is Munster's first appearance at this stage of the competition since their penalty shootout loss to Toulouse in 2022.
