RG Snyman and his Leinster team-mates aren't underestimating the challenge Glasgow Warriors will pose in Friday night's Investec Champions Cup quarter-final at Aviva Stadium, with the South African lock describing the current URC title holders as "the best attacking team" in the latter tournament.

Leinster host the Scottish side on the back of decimating Harlequins 62-0 at Croke Park on Saturday, while Glasgow also impressed in taming Leicester Tigers 43-19 at Scotstoun later the same day.

Reflecting on the victory over Harlequins and the week ahead, the 30-year-old told RTÉ Sport: "We can take a lot of momentum out of that and there are a lot of positives.

"But it's about kind of keeping the right mindset going forward and going into this weekend, and making sure we get through a good week of prep."

The two-time World Cup winner admitted a trophy drought which stretches back to 2021 was a major motivator in the Leinster camp, saying: "I think a big driving force is definitely getting silverware this season for Leinster and you can kind of feel that out of everybody.

"But in saying that, the focus is very much next job and what's in front of us and not getting ahead of ourselves.

"Like I said, I know it's a short week this week, so we only have a couple of training sessions, but making sure we get through all our work and through all our prep like we would in a normal weekend, and just looking at the one game ahead and making sure we're prepped for that.

"I think Glasgow are a really tough team and a well-coached team. They have some great players and I think the things they do on the field is unbelievable.

"And even going on the road last season and at the end of the URC, seeing that, and going all the way with it.

"So we certainly know what's coming this weekend and it'll be a great challenge for us, so we're looking forward to it.

"I think they definitely have a little bit of a different mindset when it comes to certain things, especially in attack.

Glasgow got past Leicester Tigers last time out

"They have the best attacking team in the URC and it shows on the weekends, and with saying that, they also have a very strong set-piece.

"That's definitely stuff that we will work on this week and have a very hard look at."

Snyman, who penned a one-year contract extension in March, touched on the role the fanbase had played in the team's journey this season, adding: "There's honestly a great feeling around Dublin, in and around the team and throughout the streets, you can just feel that kind of a vibe from people and all the positivity and we kind of feed off that.

"So when you go around, when you walk into the stadiums and stuff and everybody's there and giving you a positive word going into it, and then you run out and you see this old sea of blue. It's unbelievable. The team definitely feels that, and we definitely feed off that, and I feel like it brings the best out of us.

"I had a great season so far in terms of getting back to it and staying fit and honestly just having fun and playing some rugby.

"That's quite important for me at this stage. It was an easy decision to stay on at Leinster."
