Mike Prendergast, Denis Leamy and Cullie Tucker have all been added to the Irish coaching team for this summer's tour of Georgia and Portugal.
The trio have been recruited as cover while Simon Easterby, Andrew Goodman and John Fogarty are all away with the British and Irish Lions in Australia, while Paul O'Connell was previously confirmed to step in as head coach while Andy Farrell is also away on the Lions tour.
The appointments of Prendergast and Tucker come as no surprise, with Munster's attack coach Prendergast having worked as head coach of Ireland A for their meeting with England A in February, while Connacht scrum coach Tucker looked after the Ireland A setpiece that week.
Leinster's Sean O'Brien had been expected to be involved after his defence coach role for the A side in February, but Munster's Denis Leamy will now fill Easterby's regular position with Ireland this summer.
The IRFU have also finalised the dates and venues for their games against Georgia and Portugal.
O'Connell, who will name his Irish squad in mid-June, will bring his team to Tbilisi to face Georgia at Mikheil Meskhi Stadium on Saturday, 5 July, with kick-off at 6pm Irish time (9pm local).
The squad will then move on to Lisbon, where they will face the 2023 Rugby World Cup surprise package Portugal on Saturday, 12 July.
That game will take place at Estadio Nacional do Jamor in Lisbon, the site of Celtic's famous European Cup final win against Inter Milan in 1967.
"I am honoured to accept the interim position of head coach for the forthcoming summer tour to Georgia and Portugal and it promises to be an important series of matches played against unfamiliar opponents in testing conditions," O'Connell said.
"With a busy schedule of international rugby this summer, these two Tests will provide us with further opportunities to assess and develop the competition levels within the squad.
"I am excited to work with a coaching team who I know well individually and are hugely motivated to deliver success to Ireland and look forward to putting our plans in place over the coming weeks."
