Tadhg Furlong and Mack Hansen are set to be available for Ireland's clash with Italy in the Guinness Six Nations at Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.
Garry Ringrose will return from a ban for Ireland's final game of the tournament.
James Lowe's back injury, which forced him to withdraw from last weekend's team shortly before kick-off in the 42-27 defeat to France, has shown some improvement.
A decision on his availability, along with Rónan Kelleher, will be made later in the week.
Ireland hold an outside chance of winning the competition, despite the loss at the weekend which ended Grand Slam hopes.
