Hugo Keenan is in line to make his first appearance since the November victory over Australia after Leinster confirmed he's fully fit for Sunday's Investec Champions Cup collision with La Rochelle.

Keenan hurt his wrist during the 22-19 win over the Wallabies at Aviva Stadium.

Leinster said on Tuesday he is available for the trip to France, as are Jack Conan, Ciarán Frawley, Thomas Clarkson and Max Deegan.

Conan sustained an injury against Connacht four days before Christmas, while Frawley hurt his back against Bristol Bears earlier in the month. Clarkson has overcome the arm injury he picked up in the defeat of Clermont, and Deegan has come through the graduated return to play protocols.

In another boost, Tadhg Furlong has not been completely ruled out. The province said he's due to step up his rehabilitation from a hamstring injury this week and will be further assessed before a final decision is made on his availability.

It leaves the province in good shape heading into Sunday's rematch with their European rivals, as they look to maintain their unbeaten start to the season, which has now reached 11 wins in a row.

La Rochelle have endured a mixed campaign so far, with two wins from two in Europe, although Ronan O'Gara's side have been inconsistent in the Top14, currently sixth in the table.

The two-time European champions did get back on track with a 22-19 win against Toulouse last weekend, and Leinster attack coach Tyler Bleyendaal is expecting his side to be facing the best version of the French side this weekend.

"Pretty immense, pretty important [game] for us, and very exciting. A lot of history with La Rochelle in recent years, so we're expecting a tough and aggressive battle," he told RTÉ Sport.

"I think the players will bring the energy come the end of the week.

"I think they’re very strong in Europe, but also the league they’re putting some good stuff out there, maybe not getting the results they want.

"We know how dangerous they can be, and the players they have are extremely physical, they pose a lot of threats across the park in both attack and defence, so we’re going to have to be on our game.

"They’re a team we’re familiar with but we also understand the challenge will be very difficult."

While Leinster won on their previous visit to Stade Marcel Deflandre last season, La Rochelle have traditionally been a tough nut to crack on their own patch, with eight home wins from nine games this season.

And Bleyendaal (above) wants Leinster to embrace the challenge of playing on front of a raucous 16,700 crowd.

"Take the noise out but also embrace it, they're one of the most well supported teams in club footy which is really exciting.

"To go to a stadium and have that support, we have to embrace it when it’s going against us, but also put some good footy out and try silence them.

"That’s just because we’re playing them in big fixtures over the last few years. They got over us a few times and we got one back. There’s some new players in, new coaches like myself, just a new challenge, a new year and it’s an important game for us. We’re excited," he added.

In other news, Dan Sheehan has stepped up his recovery from the ACL injury he suffered on Ireland's tour of South Africa last summer.

The hooker has returned to on-field training this week, although the 26-year-old is not expected to see gametime until during the Six Nations window.
