Ciarán Frawley will be unavailable for Leinster's round two Champions Cup clash against Clermont on Saturday, Leo Cullen has confirmed.

Frawley was withdrawn at half-time of Leinster's bonus-point win over Bristol Bears with a back injury that now requires further assessment.

Despite strong competition for places the Irish international was selected in the starting XV against the Bears, after Cullen made nine changes from their previous fixture against Ulster.

His replacement Jordie Barrett impressed on his debut, scoring a try as the Blues dominated the second half.

The Leinster boss has also confirmed that James Lowe is unavailable for selection due to a calf-injury sustained on international duty against Australia, that also ruled him out for selection in last weekend's first round match.

Hugo Keenan is dealing with a wrist injury and won't be included in the Leinster squad for the next few weeks.
