Shamus Hurley-Langton is the latest Connacht player to have agreed a contract extension with the province.
The New Zealander, who joined from Taranaki in the summer of 2022, has agreed a two-year deal to remain at the Dexcom Stadium until the summer of 2026.
The 23-year-old has been a big hit since moving to Galway last year, and he was hugely influential in his side's run to the semi-finals of the BKT United Rugby Championship in 2023, winning Player of the Match in their quarter-final win away to Ulster.
"We're thrilled Shamus has committed to the club for at least another two years," head coach Pete Wilkins said.
"He was quite early in his development when he first joined us but we knew he had all the attributes to turn into a top-class player, and we are now seeing the player we knew he could be.
"He brings enormous physicality to our back row and is a constant threat at the breakdown, and at 23 years old he’ll only get better".
The versatile back row has scored five tries in 32 appearances for the province, while he's excelled around the breakdown for Wilkins' side. The flanker has won 10 turnovers in this season, with only Jamie Ritchie of Edinburgh ranking above him.
Hurley-Langton is the second Connacht player to sign a contract extension this week, after centre Cathal Forde.
