European Professional Club Rugby are to appeal against the overturning of the red card shown to Josh Caulfield for Bristol against Connacht.
The lock was sent off by French referee Pierre Brousset after his boot made contact with Ireland prop Finlay Bealham during the sides' Investec Champions Cup fourth-round clash on 19 January.
However, at a hearing in front of an independent disciplinary committee, the player challenged the ruling that he had committed an act of foul play.

The committee found that an act of foul play did occur but that it did not reach the red card threshold and the 26-year-old forward was free to return to play.
Now the EPCR, the organisation that runs the Champions and Challenge Cup, has exercised its right to appeal that decision.
An independent appeals committee will hear the case via video conference tomorrow.
