Leinster were able to issue a more upbeat assessment on Ciarán Frawley's fitness following training on Monday, with attack coach Andrew Goodman declaring the out-half "good to go".
The 26-year-old was taken off at the start of the second half in the 43-7 victory over Stade Francais and replaced by Sam Prendergast, who made his ninth Leinster appearance.
"Ciarán Frawley picked up a rib injury during the Stade Francis game and will be further assessed this week before a final decision is made on selection," the province said in a statement earlier.
Speaking to RTÉ Sport this afternoon, Goodman said: "He was moving around, a bit sore like a few of the lads but he took a couple of little bumps.
"But it was great to see him out there moving around so he’s good to go."

The URC leaders are also hopeful that Harry Byrne is available for the trip to Welford Road on Saturday (3.15pm).
The out-half picked up an ankle injury in training and will be assessed during the week. His brother Ross remains on the injury list.
"We are lucky enough there at the moment with Sam, who is going really well and had some great opportunity this year already, and had some great reps at training," added Goodman, who will replace Mike Catt as Ireland attack coach after the summer.
"Charlie Tector's just back from a long-term injury and he had a game against the Irish 20s last week. Also, we’ve got Harry, who’s doing everything he can to get back on the field as well.
"We’ve got plenty of cover there."
Prop Michael Milne picked up a calf injury last week and will be unavailable for selection this week, while lock James Ryan came through the game with no issues following a short lay-off.
Ireland head coach Andy Farrell is due to name is Six Nations training squad on Wednesday afternoon.
