Peter O'Mahony will make his return from injury for Munster in Toulon tomorrow with the former captain named in the back row for the Investec Champions Cup Pool 3 clash.

The departing Joey Carbery is back after a wrist injury and takes his place among the replacements.

O'Mahony [shoulder], Alex Nankivell [ankle] and Niall Scannell [groin] all return from injury to start the game with six changes and two positional switches to the side that faced Connacht.

Craig Casey and Jack Crowley are the the half-backs with John Ryan starting at tighthead prop.

Tom Ahern moves to the second row and Gavin Coombes comes in at number eight, with Tadhg Beirne captaining the side.

Full-back Simon Zebo and wingers Calvin Nash and Shane Daly line out together in an unchanged back three, while Nankivell and Antoine Frisch renew their midfield partnership.

In the front row Scannell makes his first competitive appearance of the campaign, alongside Jeremy Loughman and Ryan.

Ahern and Beirne are in the engine room as O’Mahony makes his second appearance of the campaign in a back row that also includes John Hodnett and Coombes.

James Lowe and Tadhg Furlong will both make a timely return for Leinster in Saturday's Champions Cup Pool 4 meeting with Stade Francais at the Aviva Stadium.

Lowe [pictured below] makes his first appearance since the Rugby World Cup and starts on the left wing, while Furlong comes in at tighthead prop, having missed the last four games for personal reasons.

Head coach Leo Cullen has picked close to a full-strength team, with only James Ryan - still on his way back from injury - left on the bench.

Ciarán Frawley gets the nod at out-half, partnering Jamison Gibson-Park behind the scrum. Robbie Henshaw and captain Garry Ringrose link up in the centre, with Lowe, Jordan Larmour and Hugo Keenan in the back three.

Up front, Furlong is alongside Dan Sheehan and Andrew Porter in a first-choice front row, with Joe McCarthy and Jason Jenkins at lock.

Ryan Baird pips Jack Conan to the back row and starts at blindside flanker, with Josh van der Flier and Caelan Doris completing the side.

On the bench, scrum-half Luke McGrath is in line for his 200th Leinster appearance.

Tom Stewart returns for Ulster

Ulster make just two changes to their starting XV for the visit of French giants Toulouse in Saturday evening's Champions Cup clash at Ravenhill.

The front row sees one alteration from the BKT URC victory against Leinster at the RDS, as Tom Stewart comes in for Rob Herring, alongside Steven Kitshoff and Tom O’Toole.

The other new face is in the back row where Dave Ewers returns to the starting line-up at blindside flanker and is joined by Sean Reffell, with Nick Timoney, who has scored five tries in his past three appearances for the province, at eight.

John Cooney and Billy Burns form an experienced half-back partnership, hoping to continue their fine form.

Jacob Stockdale, who is named on the left wing, will look to carry on where he left off at the RDS as he aims to continue his try-scoring form, with Rob Baloucoune retaining his spot on Ulster’s right wing. James Hume returns from injury to partner Stuart McCloskey in the centre positions.

Mike Lowry completes the backfield as he starts at full-back.

Ulster: Mike Lowry; Rob Baloucoune, James Hume, Stuart McCloskey, Jacob Stockdale; Billy Burns, John Cooney; Steven Kitshoff, Tom Stewart, Tom O'Toole; Kieran Treadwell, Iain Henderson (capt); Dave Ewers, Sean Reffell, Nick Timoney.

Replacements: John Andrew, Andrew Warwick, Marty Moore, Al O’Connor, Matty Rea, Nathan Doak, Luke Marshall, Will Addison.

Scrum-half Michael McDonald has been handed his first start for Connacht in Saturday's Champions Cup clash with Lyon in France.

McDonald, on loan from Ulster, will be partnered by captain Jack Carty at out-half, while Matthew Devine could make his Connacht debut with the Ballinasloe man among the replacements.

Tom Daly and Tom Farrell are named at centre, while Shayne Bolton will be hoping to continue his good run of form on the wing, with Andrew Smith and full-back JJ Hanrahan completing the back three.

The front row consists of Peter Dooley, Dylan Tierney-Martin and Jack Aungier, while Darragh Murray and Joe Joyce are paired together in the second row. Sean Jansen returns from injury to start at number 8, with flankers Cian Prendergast and Jarrad Butler alongside them.
