Munster will be without Peter O'Mahony once again for Sunday's Investec Champions Cup Pool 3 meeting with Exeter at Sandy Park.
The flanker hasn't recovered in time from a shoulder injury which he suffered in his side's BKT URC win against the Stormers last month.
Head coach Graham Rowntree has made six changes from their disappointing 17-17 draw against Bayonne last week, as they look to get their pool campaign back on track against the 2020 champions.
There's an interesting selection in the forwards where Gavin Coombes moves in from number 8 to the second row, while Tom Ahern is retained at blindside flanker for the fourth game in a row.
Jack O'Donoghue comes into the starting team at the base of the scrum, with hooker Diarmuid Barron and tighthead prop Stephen Archer the other changes in the pack.
Jeremy Loughman, Tadhg Beirne, and John Hodnett retain their places in the side, with Beirne captaining the province for the second game in a row.
In the backline, Craig Casey is preferred to Conor Murray at scrum-half and links up with Jack Crowley in the half-backs.
Antoine Frisch returns to the centre in place of Rory Scannell where he joins Alex Nankivell, while Shane Daly is fit to start at full-back, allowing Calvin Nash move back to the wing.
Seán O'Brien has come through his return to play protocols and starts on the left wing.

The Leinster team to face Sale Sharks sees Thomas Clarkson (above) make his European debut, having been part of the matchday squad against La Rochelle.
Garry Ringrose and James Ryan co-captain the team once more.
Ringrose, who will make his 50th European appearance at the RDS tomorrow, is joined by Robbie Henshaw in the centre, with Ciarán Frawley and Jamison Gibson-Park completing the backline. Frawley starts at out-half for the first time in European competition, having come off the bench last Sunday.
In the pack, Clarkson joins the experienced duo of Andrew Porter and Dan Sheehan in the front row for his European debut.

Among the replacements, half-backs Ben Murphy and Sam Prendergast are in line to make their Champions Cup debuts. Murphy was part of last weekend's squad in France, while Prendergast features in a Champions Cup squad for the first time.

Mack Hansen will miss Connacht's Pool 1 meeting with Saracens at the StoneX Stadium, but captain Jack Carty will make his 200th appearance for the province.
Carty returns as one of nine changes, with head coach Pete Wilkins ringing the changes after his side's heavy defeat to Bordeaux a week ago.
Hansen is ruled out due to a foot injury picked up in the first half of that 41-5 defeat, with John Porch taking his place at full-back.
Carty comes in at out-half having sat out the Bordeaux loss, and will become the sixth player to reach the 200 cap milestone for the province, after John Muldoon, Michael Swift, Denis Buckley, Kieran Marmion and Tiernan O'Halloran.
Bundee Aki stays in the centre, with Tom Farrell coming in for Cathal Forde, while Byron Ralston and Shayne Bolton are on the wings, with Bolton set for his first game of the season.
There's also a first game of the season at second row for Gavin Thornbury who partners Darragh Murray at lock.
Dave Heffernan is retained at second row, but Wilkins has changed his props with Jordan Duggan and Jack Aungier starting.

World-Cup winning Springbok Steven Kitshoff, makes his European home debut against Racing 92, where he will face his South Africa team-mate and captain, Siya Kolisi.
