Mike Prendergast says the exploits of Conor Murray and Craig Casey in the Six Nations can only inspire the rest of the Munster scrum-halves.
The Ireland duo have combined to help Andy Farrell's side to back-to-back championship wins, with Murray starting and Casey coming on as a replacement against Wales and France, with Leinster's Jamison Gibson-Park sidelined.
Back at the base, Paddy Patterson, Neil Cronin and Ethan Coughlan are all vying to impress Graham Rowntree and gunning for game time.
For the visit of the Ospreys this evening to Thomond Park, Patterson (24) and Coughlan (20) get the nods.
"It's an opportunity for them," said Prendergast of the trio.
"We’re fortunate that we have a lot of good scrum-halves that we are producing over the years and that seems to keep going.
"But yeah, the boys who are here with us at the moment, they take huge courage and confidence from what they have seen from Conor and from Craig.
"As I said, one very strong thing coming back in here, it is really notable and it stands out how willing the boys are to help each other as a team, both from position perspective and an individual perspective as well.
"They all bounce off each other, they all help each other.

"They all want the jersey, they all want that, there is no doubt in that, they all want the number nine or the replacements’ jersey but, for sure, they are two lads that, you look at Paddy over the last few months, that when he had to step in he has really taken his opportunities.
"He is a very quick, elusive nine.
"Neilly then, obviously, has that huge amount of experience, again the calmness like Conor would have, and then you have another younger lad coming up, Ethan Coughlan, who has been exposed to the Irish U20s and he has come through that pathway and he’s a guy I would see quite a good future here with as well."
Munster sit sixth in the table ahead of this evening's BTK URC clash (7.35pm) with Toby Booth's Ospreys, for whom Offaly's Jack Regan starts.
Munster have won seven of their last 10 outings and Prendergast is keen that the team build on the good work against a Welsh outfit who are 12th in the table but have recently beaten the English and French champions, Leicester away and Montpellier home and away, in the Champions Cup.
"I think any team that plays under a guy like Toby Booth would always be competitive, would have a good set-piece," said the former Racing 92 coach.
"They are the team which kicks the ball the most, quite organised after that and, to be fair, they have added probably a few layers to their attack I have noticed over the last six or seven games.
"They have won the last six out of seven games. We have had a little block of seven out of ten games so we have two teams that are in form at the moment, so it is set up to be a good game, very competitive and they are on an upward curve.
"They have won a number of games, but they have won games away from home...to go to Montpellier and win is quite a big ask.
"Montpellier are the Top 14 champions last season.
"Yeah, it's going to be a tough game but one we are really looking forward to back in Thomond Park on a Friday night and a lot to be excited about, especially after the last couple of weeks.
"There is a good buzz around Irish rugby at the moment and every time you put on a jersey for a province and you go out and represent Munster this weekend, it is something to be excited about."
