Munster's Heineken Champions Cup opponents Castres have reported six cases of Covid-19 in their camp, but tonight's Round 3 pool game is still set to go ahead as planned.

The French side confirmed this morning that six players returned positives in Wednesday's round of PCR tests, with all of those players asymptomatic.

They will not have to make any changed to their matchday squad for tonight's game, with yesterday's team announcement taking the positive cases into account.

"The tests carried out on Wednesday morning on the entire squad revealed 6 positive cases among the players," a statement from Castres Olympique said this morning.

"All are asymptomatic and were immediately isolated. We wish them a good recovery.

"The team, unveiled yesterday at 1pm (French time) according to the protocol of the EPCR, was therefore composed according to these cases.

"The holding of the match against Munster rugby is not impacted, and will take place as planned tonight."

Munster and Castres meet for a record 18th time this evening, with an 8pm (Irish time) kickoff at Stade Pierre Fabre.

Johann van Graan's side would take a significant step towards home advantage in the knockout stage if they can win, although their last victory at that venue came in 2006, having drawn in 2017 before a defeat in 2018.
