The Irish Rugby Football Union says it is in contact with the Irish Government regarding crowd capacity for the upcoming Six Nations.
Currently there is a limit of 5,000 spectators at outdoor events in Ireland, but that restriction is due to lapse at the end of the month.
Andy Farrell's Ireland will host Wales on 5 February at the Aviva Stadium. Home ties against Italy (27 February) and Scotland (19 March) follow.
"We will remain in contact with government and issue updates as and when more information is available," the union said in a statement.
"For now, we are proceeding with our normal planning, as failure to do so would impact ticket distribution for the Guinness Six Nations."
Earlier, Exeter director of rugby Rob Baxter suggested that it would be better for one country to host all of the games rather than postponing matches due to Covid-related issues.
