Tadhg Furlong will start for the British and Irish Lions against Japan on Saturday at BT Murrayfield.

Zander Fagerson had been due to play but is suffering from a back spasm. It's the first-warm up game for the side.

Lions head coach Warren Gatland said: "It's a shame for Zander not to be able to run out at Murrayfield as a Lion, but he’s not quite 100%.

"He’ll get a chance to start in the next two games and stake a claim for a Test spot in South Africa, so it’s not worth the risk."

It means all seven Irish players in the squad start on Saturday.

Kyle Sinckler has been added to the bench to complete the matchday group.

The match kicks off at 3pm.
