Munster quartet Mike Haley, CJ Stander, Damian de Allende and RG Snyman are recovering from "superficial burns" after a fire pit accident at the weekend.

The province confirmed that the players all require treatment following the incident and may not be available for Friday's Guinness Pro14 Rainbow Cup clash with Zebre.

Haley and Stander, who sustained burns to their hands, could return to training this week. Their injuries will be monitored as the week progresses.

"We are hugely relieved that the lads are all okay," said head coach Johann van Graan.

"The players have all been treated and are being well looked after with Damian and RG meeting the specialist again later this week to review next steps of their recovery."

On Saturday De Allende and Snyman were named in South Africa's 46-man squad for two warm-up matches against Georgia ahead of their opening Test against the Lions.

In better news for Munster, Conor Murray, Chris Farrell and Roman Salanoa are all back in training, while there were also no fresh injury concerns after last Friday’s Munster 'A’ game against the Ireland U20s.
