Johnny Sexton will miss Leinster's Guinness Pro14 Rainbow Cup derby clash with Munster this weekend (Saturday, 7.35pm) as he continues his return to play protocols after failing a HIA against Exeter.

The out-half lasted just 28 minutes as the Pro14 champions dethroned the defending European kingpins earlier this month at Sandy Park. The province are due to play La Rochelle in the Champions Cup semi-final on 2 May.

Elsewhere Scott Penny and Tommy O'Brien are available for selection, while Jamison Gibson-Park will be assessed later in the week.

Garry Ringrose and Will Connors are due to increase their training loads, while James Ryan and Caelan Doris are yet to return to full training.

Meanwhile, Ulster's Iain Henderson is in a race against time to prove his fitness for their inter-pro derby with Connacht (Friday, 8.15pm).

The lock sustained a shoulder injury on Ireland duty last month, and hasn't played for the northern province since.

Angus Curtis is available for selection having returned to full training, but it's been confirmed that Cormac Izuchukwu suffered a torn ACL in his left knee in the recent Challenge Cup game against Harlequins. He will have surgery to repair this next week.
