Rynhardt Elstadt will miss Toulouse's Champions Cup game with Munster on Saturday in Limerick due to the quarantine regulations in Ireland.

Elstadt visited his home country South Africa during a break in the Top 14 to take a commercial pilot exam and as a result would have to undergo mandatory hotel quarantine in Ireland.

He did not play the league game with Montpellier last weekend as he went through a 10-day isolation in France as per their guidelines on his return

South Africa is on the list on countries which requires a 14-day stay in a hotel quarantine in Ireland.

The Irish government denied an exemption for the case.

Toulouse head coach Ugo Mola said: "There was provision for rest but the period is obviously not conducive to going to the beach.

"He had an exam to complete to become an airline pilot and was allowed to leave, with the understanding that would have to honour the French Health Ministry’s 10-day isolation rule."
