The Guinness Pro14 final has been pencilled in for the RDS on 27 March and the fixture list for the phase of the Heineken Champions Cup has been revealed.

Seven days after the conclusion of the Six Nations, Leinster and Munster meet in the Guinness Pro14 final at the RDS on Saturday 27 March, a 5pm start at the RDS.

Both sides reached the final after comfortably topping their respective pools in the 2020-21 season, the play-off semi-finals having been removed from the calendar due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Leinster are seeking a fourth Pro14 in a row, while Munster are seeking their first title since 2010-11 season.

The last-16 of Europe's premier club competition pitted Leinster and Munster against two of the aristocrats of French rugby, Toulon and Toulouse.

Leinster will host three-time champions Toulon in the RDS on Friday 2 April, with an early 5.30pm kick-off. The match-up will be the first of the eight knockout games played over the weekend.

Munster's game at home to Toulouse will take place the following day, Saturday 3 April with a 3pm start. The French side's most recent Champions Cup visit to Thomond Park was a scarring one, Munster pummelling them 41-16 in a stunningly emphatic display.

The quarter-finals are fixed for the following weekend, with Leinster/Toulon playing away to the winners of Exeter/Lyon, while Munster/Toulouse are also away, facing Wasps/Clermont.

The semi-finals will take place on the weekend of April 30/May 1-2, while the final will be played on 22 May in the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.

In the Challenge Cup, Connacht will play away to Leicester Tigers at Welford Road on Saturday 3 April, with 8pm start.

Ulster face Harlequins in the Stoop in the final European game of the weekend, an 8pm start on Sunday 4 April.

Should Ulster win their last-16 game, they will face an away quarter-final to the winners of the Dragons-Northampton game. If Connacht get past Leicester Tigers, they will be rewarded with a home quarter-final against the winners of Ospreys-Newcastle Falcons. Those games are fixed for the weekend of 9/10/11 April.
