Jack Conan is expected to be available for Leinster selection for this weekend's Guinness Pro14 interprovincial derby against Munster, while Garry Ringrose has been ruled out with an injured jaw.

Leo Cullen's side travel to Thomond Park on Saturday (kick-off 7.35pm, live commentary on RTÉ Radio 1's Saturday Sport) and the number 8 has recovered from a neck injury that has kept him sidelined since October.

Conan, whose last Ireland appearance was at the 2019 World Cup against Scotland, was last involved for Leinster against Dragons at the start of October.

Ringrose has been ruled out after injuring his jaw in the Champions Cup win over Northampton Saints at the weekend. In October, the centre broke his jaw against Italy in the rearranged Six Nations fixture.

Ed Byrne has returned to full training following his calf injury, while Rhys Ruddock (bruised ribs), Harry Byrne (back) and Jimmy O’Brien (return to play protocols) will be assessed later in the week.

Johnny Sexton (dead leg) and Caelan Doris (calf) will not be assessed this week as they are on a week off.

Both Leinster (Conference A) and Munster (Conference B) enter the game with seven wins from seven in the competition to date.
