Full-back Jacob Stockdale and lock Iain Henderson have been ruled out of Ireland's opening Autumn Nations Cup clash with Wales at the Aviva this evening.

Andrew Conway, not in the original match-day squad, replaces Stockdale but will start on the wing, with Hugo Keenan moving to 15.

Quinn Roux comes in for Henderson in the second row, with Tadhg Beirne elevated to a place on the bench.

"Henderson has a medical issue which ruled him out, while Stockdale presented with calf soreness and following a scan has been ruled out of the game this weekend," the Irish Rugby Football Union said in a statement.

Separately, earlier today, France's Autumn Nations Cup game against Fiji was cancelled after a number of Fiji players tested positive for Covid-19.
