The IRFU has confirmed that Ireland centre Garry Ringrose will miss the rest of the autumn international window after sustaining a broken jaw in last weekend's win over Italy in Dublin.

The Leinster centre collided with Italy out-half Paolo Garbisi while trying to block a kick in the 27th minute and was removed for a HIA.

As well as the pivotal Six Nations clash with France, Ringrose will also the games against Wales, England and Georgia in next month's inaugural Autumn Nations Cup.

Meanwhile, John Cooney has been called into the Ireland squad ahead as cover ahead of Saturday's trip to Paris, where Andy Farrell's can claim the Six Nations title with a bonus-point win.

The Ulster scrum-half was not selected for last weekend's win over Italy but Leinster's Jamison Gibson-Park, who made his international debut off the bench against the Azzurri, has a tight hamstring.

Munster winger Keith Earls is nearing his return from a back injury and could also be added to the squad this week.
