France scrum half Antoine Dupont has emerged as a doubt for next weekend's Six Nations clash with Ireland in Paris.
L'Equipe reported that Dupont injured his collarbone in France's 28-17 loss to Scotland in Murrayfield this afternoon, a result which ended their hopes of a first Grand Slam success in ten years.
The 23-year-old Toulouse player has been one of the emergent stars of the tournament and his loss would represent a major blow for Fabian Galthie's side.
Out-half Romain Ntamack is another potential absentee, having been replaced early in the game with a head injury and he will now go through return to play protocols.
Tighthead prop Mohammed Haouas is also certain to miss the game, having been red carded in the first half of today's loss, after he punched Scotland's Jamie Ritchie.
Hooker Camille Chat, who withdrew from the Murrayfield game in the warm-up with a calf problem, is also a doubt.
As it stands, the game is still promised to go ahead next Saturday, though French Minister for Solidarity and Health Olivier Veran announced this evening that "all gatherings of more than 1,000 people are from now on banned" as part of the country's battle against the spread of Covid-19.
The minister added that that officials would issue a list of events considered "useful to national life" that would be allowed to continue. It remains to be seen whether Saturday's international rugby match will be included.
This evening, the French rugby authorities said there was no official confirmation that the game had been postponed.
Andy Farrell, meanwhile, this evening named an unchanged squad ahead of the match.
