The remaining fixtures in the Six Nations Championships are expected to go ahead as planned, although changes cannot be ruled out amid efforts to contain the coronavirus, organisers have said.
The 7 March match between Ireland and Italy in Dublin has already been postponed but other matches will be maintained unless governments monitoring the spread of the virus decide otherwise, a spokeswoman for the organisers said.
Rugby officials were meeting in Paris on Monday to consider whether more changes to the Six Nations calendar were needed as the number of infections and the death toll from the virus mounts.
"This meeting is about taking stock and assessing rescheduling options," the spokeswoman said.
"So far, apart from the Ireland v Italy match for our senior men's event, all matches are OK to take place but governments might decide otherwise and we need to be prepared for any eventuality."
Ireland's scheduled game against Italy in Dublin this weekend was called off due to an outbreak of the virus in northern Italy and the spokeswoman did not rule out further changes to the schedule.
"There are important government meetings in various countries in the next couple of days and we will need to see what guidance comes out of these meetings."
Ireland's other remaining fixture is in Paris on 14 March. France has already confirmed over 130 cases of the virus and has banned indoor events attended by more than 5,000 people.
France currently top the table after three rounds and are the only team that can still win the Grand Slam.
In 2001, an outbreak of foot and mouth disease in the UK and Ireland caused several matches in the tournament to be postponed until the autumn.
