Ireland Under-20 head coach Noel McNamara has named his starting team to face Scotland in the 2020 Six Nations opener on Friday night.
Ulster and Banbridge back-row David McCann will captain the team.
The No 8 will be among five members of 2019's grand slam-winning team in the starting 15 alongside Charlie Ward, Thomas Clarkson, Brian Deeny and Thomas Ahern
"The players have prepared very well since we first came together before Christmas," McNamara said.
"We had an excellent camp last week in Cork and are looking forward to the challenge that Scotland will bring this Friday night.
"Getting back down to Irish Independent Park is exciting for all involved. It's a fantastic venue, a really fast surface and we’re ready to get the campaign underway in front of a partisan home crowd."
Speaking to RTE 2fm's Game On, McNamara highlighted the pathway the Under-20s provide for the Irish senior setup.
Leinster back-row Caelan Doris is the latest off that conveyer belt and will start for Andy Farrell's senior team against Scotland this weekend for his debut cap.
"We have an ambition to win games, but that is not the primary source of motivation or purpose," he said.
"Our purpose is around developing these players and some of that is learning through mistakes.
"I take as much pride in seeing Tom O'Toole, Caelan Doris and Ronan Kelleher named in a Six Nations squad as we do in getting success on the pitch. It’s very much a dual mandate
The match will kick off at 7.15pm.
