Mike Prendergast has spent the week warning Racing 92 to expect a blood-and-thunder performance from Munster when they come to Paris for Sunday's crunch Heineken Champions Cup clash.
Prendergast, who had two separate spells as a player with the province, linked up with the Top 14 outfit as their backs and attack coach last May.
Johann van Graan brings his men to France six points behind Pool 4 toppers Racing with two fixtures remaining. They'll need a huge performance to come away with a win, and they'll come up against a side well prepped about their capabilities.
Prendergast, Donnacha Ryan and Simon Zebo are all former Munster men. They know exactly what to expect.
"Traditionally over the last 15, 20 years Munster have been reared on days like this," Prendergast told RTÉ 2fm's Game On.
"I've been explaining it to the boys. There is that great link between the two clubs, there's massive respect over here from Racing, within the club, the supporters, the players, for Munster.
"We know what they've done in the past, especially on big days like this when maybe things look from the outside like there's a bit of pressure. But they have experienced, competitive players like Peter O'Mahony, Conor Murray, CJ Stander, guys like that who'll be lapping this up I think.
"It makes them a really dangerous team. We're fully aware of that.
"I suppose with my experience, and with Donnacha Ryan and Simon Zebo, we're trying to pass that on to make sure we're ready for it. Everything goes out the door. You can forget about the last two or three games; this is a one-off, and this is what Munster were reared on."
Ryan has been named on the replacements bench for this one. Prendergast revealed the hugely influential lock is trying to shake off an illness to play some part against his old club.
"He's been sick the last day or two. He hasn't been able to train. We're hoping he'll recover enough tomorrow to be able to take his place on the bench.
"We'll give him a bit of time to try and recover. When it comes to a lineout operator and how our lineout has been functioning with him leading it, he's a massive player for us.
"There's very good game-breakers there, we have a lot of threats but it comes back to winning collisions, being able to play on the front foot.
"I think a lot of it will come down to who wins the collisions on Sunday. Hopefully it will happen for us."
