Leinster Women have named their team for the historic clash with Harlequins at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday night (7pm).

It's part of a 'Big Game 12' double-header at the famous ground, with the Harlequins men's side facing Leicester Tigers at 4.30pm.

It's the first time a women's club game will be played at the home of English rugby.

The fixture comes after a season of firsts for the Leinster Women's team.

The opening game of the Women's Interprovincial Championship against Connacht took place as part of a double-header at Energia Park with the Leinster men's team back in August. Over 2,500 supporters were in attendance to see Ben Armstrong's side kick off their campaign with a win.

The Interprovincial Championship was also expanded to include play-offs following the round-robin phase, with Leinster defeating Connacht in the final at Energia Park in September

Sene Naoupu, who captained Leinster to that title, will once again lead the team at Twickenham.

Naoupu starts at out-half with Ailsa Hughes completing the half-back pairing.

Ireland internationals Jenny Murphy and Michelle Claffey have been selected as the starting centre pairing.

Elise O'Byrne-White and Grace Miller start in the back three with Meabh O'Brien on the left wing completing the backline.

In the pack, Lindsay Peat has been named to start at blindside flanker in a back row with Niamh Ní Dhroma and Hannah O'Connor, who have both been named in the Ireland squad for the Six Nations.

Aoife McDermott and Daisy Earle are the second-row combination. Katie O'Dwyer, Victoria Dabanovich-O'Mahony and Linda Djougang form the front row and complete the starting XV.
