Keith Earls and Conor Murray have been named in the Munster side to face Benetton Rugby in Saturday’s Guinness Pro14 quarter-final but the game has come too soon for out-half Joey Carbery.
Murray (neck) was a precautionary late withdrawal from the team that defeated Connacht last weekend, while Earls had been out with a thigh injury since early April.
Carbery went off early in Munster's Heineken Champions Cup quarter-final win over Edinburgh with a recurrence of a hamstring problem.
Peter O’Mahony will captain the side at Thomond Park (3pm kick-off) with a place in the semi-finals against reigning champions Leinster on offer.
Johann van Graan makes three changes to last week's team as Rory Scannell, Earls, and Murray come into the backline.
Mike Haley starts at full-back with Andrew Conway and Earls on either flank.
Scannell and Chris Farrell pair up in the centres with Murray and Tyler Bleyendaal in the half-backs.
Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell and Stephen Archer pack down in the front row.
Jean Kleyn and Tadhg Beirne start in the engine room with O’Mahony, Chris Cloete and CJ Stander completing the side in the back row.
Munster: Mike Haley; Andrew Conway, Chris Farrell, Rory Scannell, Keith Earls; Tyler Bleyendaal, Conor Murray; Dave Kilcoyne, Niall Scannell, Stephen Archer; Jean Kleyn, Tadhg Beirne; Peter O’Mahony (C), Chris Cloete, CJ Stander.
Replacements: Kevin O’Byrne, Jeremy Loughman, John Ryan, Billy Holland, Arno Botha, Alby Mathewson, JJ Hanrahan, Dan Goggin.
Meanwhile, the club has announced that it has banned the fan who ran onto the pitch to confront Billy Vunipola at the Ricoh Arena following their Champions Cup semi-final defeat two weeks ago.
Munster Rugby said that "a decision has been made to prohibit the supporter from attending matches at Irish Independent Park and Thomond Park, in addition to the ban from the Ricoh Arena."
