Ireland remain unbeaten after their opening two fixtures at the World Rugby Seven Series qualifying tournament in Hong Kong.
They followed up this morning's 26-0 win over Jamaica, with a 26-26 draw against Uruguay. They led the second-game at half-time by 19 points, but they couldn't hold on for the victory.
Ireland next play Russia at 3.08am Saturday, before hopefully qualifying for tomorrow's quarter-finals and Sunday's semis and final.
Only the tournament winner earns a place in next season's World Rugby Seven Series.
The nascent programme (only reformed in 2015) went close in last year's qualifiers, losing out to Japan in the last four.

After this event, Ireland will enter an Olympic qualifying event in France in July and if their quest to make Tokyo 2020 fails there, they will have a final opportunity at a repechage event.
