That was more like it.
Ireland steamrolled an awful France to set up a mouthwatering clash with Grand Slam-chasing Wales in Cardiff next week and looked a lot more like their old selves n the process.
Rory Best, Johnny Sexton, Jack Conan and Keith Earls crossed for tries in a 26-14 victory at the Aviva Stadium.
Here's how the players rated.
15 JORDAN LARMOUR 7/10
Struggled positionally at times as a late stand-in for Rob Kearney but was never truly tested on the back foot. Misjudged an early high ball; thereafter he settled and his constant desire to make breaks ruffled the French.
14 KEITH EARLS 8/10
Bagged another stunning try and produced a composed performance on a fine Irish afternoon. Grew in to it and was really eye-catching in the second half.
13 GARRY RINGROSE 8.5/10
Any Irish nerves were well and truly extinguished when Ringrose popped a gorgeous offload into Sexton's paws to allow the outhalf to gallop over. You knew then they were back on it. The classy centre proved his worth to the cause with an assured and high-quality performance.
12 BUNDEE AKI 7/10
Another bruising showing from the Connacht battering ram who dovetailed nicely beside Ringrose - like an iron fist inside a silk glove.
11 JACOB STOCKDALE 6.5/10
Unable to cut loose as in recent matches but was tidy and efficient with everything he dealt with. By his explosive standards this was a relatively quiet one but he always looks like he could tear a team to shreds in the blink of an eye.
10 JOHNNY SEXTON 8.5/10
Bagged a try and ran the show as Ireland finally clicked in this calendar year. When Sexton plays well, Ireland play well. He looked like a man on mission today. Flawless.
9 CONOR MURRAY 7/10
Still finding his full rhythm but this was a marked improvement from the Munster man. Delivered good clean ball all day and grew in confidence before making way for John Cooney on the hour.
1 CIAN HEALY 7/10
Bullish showing from the Leinster star who was unlucky not to bag a try.
2 RORY BEST (CAPT) 8/10
Led from the front with his early try in what will prove his Six Nations swansong in Dublin. The nightmare lineout showing in Italy was very much in the rear-view mirror with Best back at the wheel. Got a nice farewell from the fans at the end.
3 TADHG FURLONG 8/10
Locked out the scrum in style and put in some punishing hits. Shook the bones of Felix Lambey early on with a bruising tackle and never let the physicality drop.
4 JAMES RYAN 9/10
Got through a huge amount of work as Ireland battered France up front. Named man of the match after yet another tackle-heavy performance that was further embellished by his brilliant ability to make yards.
5 IAIN HENDERSON 8/10
Back to form for the fit-again Ulster man. His presence is a major boost in the lineout; breathes confidence into those around him.
6 PETER O'MAHONY 8/10
A gritty performance from one of the heartbeats of this team. Simply refuses to let anybody drop their levels and leads by example with his own phenomenal work rate and ability to snipe turnovers.
7 JOSH VAN DER FLIER 7/10
Put himself about until injury cut short his afternoon and Jack Conan came on. Fingers crossed it's not a serious problem.
8 CJ STANDER 9/10
The Munster wrecking-ball was on a one-man mission to subdue the French and was back to his best. Back in the fold having recovered form the facial injuries he sustained against England, Stander was a force of nature, beating up the visitors and punching holes in their defence with uncompromising, direct running. Awesome.
