Ireland have made it three wins from three in the Six Nations with an impressive defeat of Italy in Rieti to extend their lead at the top of the Six Nations table.

Noel McNamara's side were first to touch down with a try from Craig Casey. A conversion and penalty from the boot of Harry Byrne followed before Scott Penny got Ireland's second try. At half-time the visitors led 17-0.

After the break Craig Casey scored his second try and Ireland's third.

Italy manged to get over for two tries at either side of a late try from David Hawkshaw.

Ireland sealed the bonus point win on a night where Byrne kicked 12-points.
