Munster lock Billy Holland has joined up with the Ireland squad ahead of Saturday's Guinness Six Nations match against Scotland.
The 33-year-old has come in as cover for Devin Toner, according to a report on the 42.ie.
The second row won one Ireland cap against Canada in 2016.
Leinster forward Toner rolled his ankle towards the end of Saturday's 32-20 loss to England but the Ireland coaching staff are hopeful that he will be fit to face Scotland, who beat Italy at the weekend.
Joe Schmidt is already without Iain Henderson and Tadhg Beirne for the trip to Edinburgh, while CJ Stander will be out for at least four weeks out with a facial injury.
