Munster have a clean bill of health ahead of their festive Pro14 derby clash with Leinster at Thomond Park.

They had to dig deep just to snatch a losing bonus point at Ulster before Christmas, replacement out-half Bill Johnston kicking a late penalty to ensure the visitors didn't leave Kingspan Stadium empty-handed.

Johann van Graan made 13 changes for that game, which came after a bruising loss at Castres in the Heineken Champions Cup.

Some other big guns should come back into the fold this weekend.

Chris Farrell missed both European games against the Top 14 side with a thigh problem and was absent for the loss to Ulster too. He is expected to come back into training tomorrow but looks unlikely to figure against Leinster. James Hart (knee) and Rhys Marshall (hamstring) are also on the comeback trail.

Prop Brian Scott underwent surgery last week for a foot injury sustained while playing for his club side Cork Constitution and is out for four to six months months.

Meanwhile Stephen Fitzgerald linked up with Connacht this week after signing a three-month loan deal with the western province.
