Former Ireland outhalf Paddy Jackson has been linked with a move to Lyon next season.

Jackson joined newly promoted Perpignan in June but the southern outfit have failed to win a game in the Top 14 are bottom of the table.

According to Lyon-based newspaper Le Progrés Jackson has an exit clause in his contract in case of relegation and The Wolves are in need of a No 10 after France international Lionel Beauxis agreed to join Oyonnax next year.

Lyon are eighth in the table at the moment and also competing in the Champions Cup.

Jackson, along with former Ulster teammate Stuart Olding, had his contract revoked by the IRFU in April in the wake of his acquittal on rape charges in March.

Olding is also playing in France, with second-division table-toppers Brive.
