Munster face a potential scrum half crisis ahead of Saturday's opening Champions Cup game away to Exeter.
Scrum half Alby Mathewson, who picked up a knee injury against Leinster, will see a specialist later today to determine the extent of the injury.
Head coach Johan van Graan confirmed that they will be without Conor Murray for the game and the Irish International will most likely miss the Round 2 game v Gloucester also.
Neil Cronin and James Hart are also on the injured list, leaving Duncan Williams and academy player Jack Stafford as the only fit scrum halves in the squad.
Munster suffered a 30-22 defeat to Leinster at the weekend, but can take solace from their encouraging performance at the Aviva Stadium which included tries from Tadhg Beirne, CJ Stander and Mathewson.
The Irish province travel to face Exeter on Saturday with a 3.15pm kick-off at Sandy Park.
