You don't see a try like this everyday.

Harlequins may have lost 25-20 at home to London rivals Saracens, but long after the result is forgotten people will be talking about Joe Marchant's remarkable try.

The home side were leading when out-half Smith lined up a penalty from the left hand side of the pitch. He miscued it and as it skewed across the posts it got held up in the wind and Marchant was able to pluck the ball out of the air before the try line and dive over.

Referee Luke Pearce and his touch judges had a quick conference but seemed happy the ball had not crossed the try line when Marchant caught it and that he and his team-mates were all onside as the penalty was taken. The TMO confirmed everything was in order.

Unfortunately for Quins, Owen Farrell's kicking from the tee and a Billy Vunipola try were enough to seal Sarries' 13th straight Premiership win.

Watch the try below, you could see this tactic working for Connacht at the Sportsground perhaps.
