The Men's and Women's All-Ireland League fixtures for the 2018/19 season have been confirmed.
The Men's Division 1A champions Lansdowne are away to Clontarf on the opening weekend.
That game will be under lights on 5 October, with Divisions 2A, 2B and 2C first into action a week earlier.
The opening weekend in the top division will also see beaten finalists and 2017 champions Cork Con at home to the newly promoted Shannon. Garryowen host Dublin University while Terenure travel to Young Munster and there is an intriguing inter-varsity clash as UCD play the promoted UCC.
Division 1B also kicks off on the first weekend in October with Buccaneers and St Mary’s College aiming to bounce back from last season’s relegation.
Buccs are at home to Naas while Mary’s will open their account against Ballynahinch.
There’s an all-Ulster clash featuring Ballymena at home to Malone who topped Division 2A with 16 wins from 18. City of Armagh, who were promoted from Division 2A, are at home to Old Wesley while Old Belvedere will face a Banbridge side who narrowly missed out on promotion last time out.
Some fixtures may be subject to changed pending the release of the Champions Cup/Challenge Cup fixtures in the coming weeks.
Many of the matches in the Women's All Ireland League fixtures will be played on a Saturday afternoon in this coming season as part of a double header with the Men's competition.
The decision to schedule the matches on a Saturday was taken in consultation with the clubs to encourage them to create a festival feel to match days and attract more members to both games.
Defending champions UL Bohemians kick off their campaign against Highfield on Saturday, 29 September in the first of those double headers with the men’s game against Highfield in Division 2A at 2.30 and the women’s game at 5 p.m.
Beaten finalists Old Belvedere are on the road to Cooke who finished in place last season. Railway Union, who finished 2nd last season but lost narrowly to Belvo in the league semi-final, are also away as they travel the short distance to St. Mary’s College, who won promotion at the end of last season.
The final match of the opening weekend sees Blackrock at home to Galwegians.
