Felipe Contepomi is set to return to Leinster as a backs coach, according to reports.
ESPN writes that Contepomi will leave his position as head coach of Argentina XV and travel to Ireland in July to take up the position with the Irish province, while the UAR is expected to announce the move in the coming days.
Contepomi made 116 appearances for Leinster between 2003 and 2009 and is believed to be returning to the club to replace Girvan Dempsey, who will be joining Bath Rugby as an attack coach ahead of the 2018/19 season.
The club legend helped Leinster to Heineken Cup success in 2009 but missed the final against Leicester Tigers after he suffered a knee injury during their semi-final win over Munster.
The former out-half later went to play for Toulon and Stade Francais and won 87 caps for Argentina across a 15-year career prior to his retirement in 2013.
