Connacht will meet Paddy Jackson's new side Perpignan in the Challenge Cup as well as English outfit Sale Sharks.
Jackson, along with former teammate Stuart Olding, had his contract revoked by the IRFU in April in the wake of his acquittal of rape charges in March.
Earlier this month, he signed a two-year contract with newly promoted Perpignan, who last won the French title in 2009.
The draw this afternoon paired Andy Friend's Connacht with the French team.
It means a quick return to Irish shores for the former international, with fixture details not yet available.
Another French side, Bordeaux-Begles, complete Pool 3.
