Ahead of Friday's Pro14 clash with Edinburgh, Ulster are counting the cost of last weekend's win over the Southern Kings with three players nursing injuries.

Sean Reidy sustained a medial ligament knee injury that will keep him out of action for approximately six weeks.

Charles Piutau dislocated a rib cartilage and is likely to be out for longer

Rob Lyttle suffered a hamstring injury of significance and he is expected to return to playing in four to six weeks weeks.

Meanwhile, Andrew Trimble (back) and Peter Nelson (hamstring) have returned to training and are in contention for the visit of Edinburgh.
