Leinster put in an impressive display in the second-half against Ulster to earn a 25-10 victory in their PRO14 clash.

Leinster’s win was the first by an away side in that fixture in nine attempts. Their performance was spearheaded by Sean O’Brien who earned the man-off-the-match award fresh from an injury layoff.

"It was great to be back and a nice one to come back to," O’Brien told RTÉ Sport.

"It was a very important win for us away from home, it's a very difficult place to come for us, we knew what we were going to be up against.

"We made life hard for ourselves at times but we dug in well for each-other and fought our way into the game."

It was a tightly contested first-half with both sides getting over the line for tries. Leinster struck first with Jordan Larmour showing great pace and promise.

Then Ulster replied through flanker Sean Reidy who forced his way over the line, at the break Leinster lead by just three points.

"We probably over played a little bit in the first-half against a strong breeze," added O’Brien.

"We just weren’t smart enough, we coughed up a few balls. Once we regrouped at half-time we came out and put a bit more pressure on them. We relieved a bit off ourselves and played in the right areas of the field."

In the second-half Leinster grew into the game, showing their strength and experience. Two tries from Luke McGrath put distance between the sides and sealed victory for the visitors.

"It was important to get the scores and get a little bit of breathing room and control the ball in the right areas.

"We tried to get another one at the end, that’s what we try to do as a team keep playing until the very end."
