Jamie Heaslip may take some part in Leinster’s Champions Cup pool campaign despite being left out of the 40-man squad list.
The Ireland back row forward has not recovered sufficiently from a back injury suffered in March to be included at the moment, Leinster said.
EPCR rules state that changes can be made during the pool stages, so should the 33-year-old, who has 95 Ireland caps, return to fitness he will be considered.
The three-time champions open their campaign against Montpellier on 14 October.
