Fineen Wycherley has been banned for three weeks following his red card against Glasgow Warriors last weekend.
Wycherley was sent off for leading with his shoulder and striking a player following a ruck to compound a miserable night for the province.
He faced a disciplinary hearing today and it was concluded that he was guilty of reckless rather than intentional behaviour and therefore warranted a mid-range sanction point of six weeks.
It was just judged he should serve just three weeks with the players’ previous clean record also brought into the equation.
Wycherley will return on 16 October and will miss two Pro14 games and the Champions Cup game away to Castres.
