Ireland 8 New Zealand 38
Ireland succumbed to a heavy defeat as New Zealand produced a polished second-half performance to run out comfortable 38-8 winners at the UCD Bowl.
The meeting was the first between the sides since Ireland's historic win over the Black Ferns in the 2014 World Cup, and things were tight up to half-time, with New Zealand holding a slender 5-3 lead at the break.
However, the New Zealanders rocketed up through the gears after the break, with full back Selica Winiata scoring her second try of the game on the 42 minute mark.
Portia Woodman then took over, with the centre scoring a hat-trick of tries as new Zealand took an unassailable 31-3 lead with less than ten minutes remaining.
Out-half Kelly Brazier then rubbed salt in the wound, crossing on 74 minutes to make it 36-3, with Hazel Tubic adding the extras.
Irish winger Niamh Kavanagh crossed for a later consolation score for the home side.
It is a disappointing conclusion to the November Series for Ireland, failing to win in any of their three meetings with the top-ranked sides in the world -England, Canada and New Zealand.
